Christmas and New Year's Day in Tbilisi

For Christmas 2009-2010, mayor of Tbilisi, this time invested in a grand style decoration "opera" lights with chandeliers and white diamond. The main avenue, Rustaveli, was covered with a carpet of small lanterns twinkling aspiring to elegance and style great century.
While some are proud, others criticize these decorations being designed as "uptown" while the vast majority of the city is still dark.
Still others speculate on their cost (million dollars?) And the fact that we could have put that money elsewhere, such as in the old city of Tbilisi literally collapsing. Finally, some say before the municipal elections next spring, the National Movement to power wants to eyeful ...
